The mission of the electronics development group is to develop its state-of-the-art electronics with high quality in specific areas of technology. This mission is achieved by committed and capable employees , a high investment level on technology and people, a structured way of working and a close cooperation with AME- Products (manufacturing services).
Good design principles can only be effective if they are applied to technological fields that the designer is familiar with. A clear understanding of the goal of the design and the critical subjects in the design enable the designer to be in full control of the design process. The use of basic building blocks with proven technology (repeatability in design) enables AME to realize a high-quality design with a short time to market.
Due to the complexity of most modern electrical designs and the complexity of manufacturing them, sophisticated tools and design methodologies are essential for the design process. RD&D chooses to use the best tools and design methodologies available today. This results not only in the use of high precision test equipment and complex simulation and design software, but also in using modeling and optimization techniques.
The strength of the close cooperation between development and manufacturing is merging knowledge of the both, resulting in excellent Design for Test (DfT), Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Cost of goods (DFC).
The close cooperation is also supported by our information systems. Feedback from production and from the field guarantees a close monitoring and improvement of the designed product during it’s lifecycle.
