ZigBee Gateway Software
The ZigBee Gateway Software enables an “ZigBee PAN” to communicate with an remote IP based host application and vice versa. It enables, for example, web portals to be used to control Zigbee networks in the office or home.
Key features
• Provides an http/https based interface to the zigbee network based (using SOAP)
• Enables the remote host applications to communicate with ZigBee node or Nodes via ZCL commands
• Provide discovery and management mechanism for a ZigBee network for the remote SOAP based host applications
- Reading Node Cache
- Form Network
- Discover Networks
- Node Discovery
• Provides mechanisms that allow ZigBee nodes to communicate with remote applications
• Add, delete and list call-back methods
System requirements
• Embedded Linux device with Linux operating system
• Ember Zigbee Coordinator (e.g. EM250 / EM260 / EM357)
Usage scenarios
• Home automation, energy metering and management through locally controlled Zigbee networks
• Enabling building automation through gateway-to-gateway connectivity
• Typically used in conjunction with a 'Firewall bridge for SOAP' to remotely control Zigbee networks
